Can't Lose Weight After Having A Baby
I can't lose weight after having a baby. I'm working out and following a diet but the extra weight and body fat aren't coming off.
Your Body Has Changed
You are very aware of how your body has changed but may not have accepted the new you. Your breasts are likely enlarged, and your hips are wider. Your body has changed and cannot return to the previous shape. So the first thing you want to do is stop chasing the old you.
It's not going to be possible to return 100% to your old body. In many ways you're going to be better, more curvy which guys like. So don't beat yourself up if you haven't recaptured your old body, because it's not the right goal you should be aiming for. You want to reshape the new you.
Why Aren't I Losing Weight
Pregnancy has lots of physical elements that make like more challenging. You have to carry around extra weight which strains your back and joints to the point where most women find it difficult to rise off the couch without help near the end of pregnancy.
But one of the good things about being pregnant is all the food you get to eat. And there are no limits, you can eat whatever you want and everyone understands the complicated cravings of pregnancy. Pickles, and ice cream? No problem.
After the baby is born, you might still be on the "pregnant meal plan" where you allow yourself to eat a little more than normal. The worse thing you could do is go to extremes of overeating, followed by a very restrictive diet. Your body isn't going to respond well to that plan.
You want to slowly scale your calories down every few weeks. If you notice that you've stopped losing weight you'll need to scale down to the next level. The problem with starting out with a restrictive 1200 calorie diet is there's nothing left to adjust if you hit a plateau.
Eating less than 1200 calories can be harmful to your health for women. For more post-pregnancy tips please visit the Pregnancy Miracle. If you're looking for a step by step exercise plan visit burn the fat feed the muscle for more information.
